A true love never dies, as this video shows

Life is just like a dream. We won’t know when we would be jolted awake to face the ultimate fate. Today, we find ourselves enjoying our life to the fullest, always laughing and smiling, but the bitter truth is that nothing is permanent in the world. No matter who we are and where we are, death is inevitable in life. It is a natural phenomenon we all must go through someday but when you know that your days are numbered, dealing with your impending death would definitely be a different experience. It is said that at this juncture, we realize who our real friends are and what matters to us. This is the story of a man who has immortalized his love for his beautiful daughter and wife after he was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.

When I arrived at Perth, Western Australia in early 2012, Mr. Wangdi had already left for Bhutan, but the beautiful memories he had created during his stay in Australia were still lingering afresh within the Bhutanese community in Perth. Although I never got the opportunity to see him in person, I learned that he was a very sociable, friendly and well-respected person. But what touched me the most was his video on Youtube which he had uploaded on 26th November 2011, three months before my arrival in Perth. The video which was published as a tribute to his beautiful daughter and wife melted my heart especially after I heard that he was no more in the world. He had passed away almost a year after he had uploaded his video but his love for his family still remains in the video, beautifully blended with the lyrics of the song and the sweet melody in the background. It is believed that the video was made after he knew that his days were numbered. I can't imagine how painful it could have been for him to come to terms with what he was going through at such a juncture where he had not even finished exploring more than half of his life. The video captions are so touching that we won’t be able to hold back our tears. Although he is dead and gone, he has left a treasure for his family to remember him and cherish his true love forever. May he be blest with eternal peace in his next rebirth!
